Their goal was to accommodate the technical needs of a production house while achieving a delicate balance between practicality and aesthetics. The team introduced monumental redwood curves that seamlessly complemented the vaulted concrete ceiling, imbuing the space with a unique character.  The collaboration between Rouchon Paris and Delordinaire involved addressing substantial logistical requirements for producing image content. This included creating specific spaces like large-format photography cycloramas, a mezzanine catering area, fitting rooms, and grooming zones, as well as integrating lighting setups and film equipment. Erwan Levêque, one of the co-founders of Delordinaire, highlighted the significance of the vaulted wooden mezzanine as a starting point for their design. The team focused on using raw earth bricks for the ground-level walls, sourced locally to reduce environmental impact, and cross-laminated timber (CLT) for the mezzanine, considering sustainability in construction.all images by James Nelson  earth and wood take center stage within the studio Delordinaire Architects’ work focuses on understanding human interactions within spaces, emphasizing clean designs and a respect for nature’s aesthetics. Founded in 2016 by Adrian Hunfalvay, Erwan Levêque, and Jean-Philippe Parent, the studio highlights its diverse cultural backgrounds through its portfolio of projects, ranging from residences to public buildings and hotels. For over three decades, Rouchon Paris has opened its doors to esteemed clients such as Louis Vuitton, Hermès, the artist Angèle, and others, providing them with studio spaces to create visual content, including photography and video, for their communication needs. For this project, Adrian Hunfalvay, emphasized their approach of creating spaces that resonate with people, blending industrial aspects with raw material textures. Their architecture aims to celebrate daily rituals and human connections, striving for environments that seamlessly integrate into daily life. Delordinaire also designed customized furniture and fittings in granite and wood for the space, such as work desks and reception counters. ‘Our architecture is grounded in daily rituals and practices.
